GTA 6 Replaces Instant Car Spawning With Paid Courier Drop-Offs
Grand Theft Auto 6 replaces instant vehicle spawning with an in-game courier app, sending drivers who deliver rides and depart on compact trunk scooters.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is overhauling how personal rides arrive in the open world, replacing instant car-spawning mechanics with a grounded, service-based delivery app.
According to details shared from a GTA 6 cover story, players looking to summon their personal vehicles will use an in-game smartphone service named the Scooter Bros. app. Rather than appearing out of thin air behind the player's camera angle, the requested vehicle is driven directly to the player's location by a company courier for a small service fee. Once the delivery is completed, the courier pulls a compact scooter out of the car's trunk and rides away.
Because deliveries require travel time and physical drop-offs, summoning a ride cannot serve as an emergency escape button during firefights or high-stakes robberies. Players will need to plan their getaway vehicles in advance or make do with whatever transportation they can acquire on the fly.
Stealing a car directly off the street introduces its own set of complications. Motorists in Vice City and surrounding areas may actively resist carjackings and fight back. In addition, stolen civilian vehicles can come equipped with anti-theft tracking devices that alert police, and tanks may already be low on fuel.
Rockstar has clarified that the newly introduced fuel mechanic is balanced to avoid tedious micromanagement. Vehicles can run for extended periods before needing a top-up, keeping gas station stops as an occasional tactical detour rather than a constant disruption.
